There are cabins by the visitors center, and I would recommend staying at the park overnight, given how hard it is to find transportation in the afternoon. It costs $3 to enter the park. Getting For the Los Pinos entrance: You should leave early if you don't have your own car. Take a bus to the small town of La Guama. From there, you can easily catch a minivan that goes up to a pupuseria 4.5 kilometers from the visitors center. It can be almost impossible to find transportation going up or down from there, though if you ask around/leave early in the morning you might be able to catch an Aldea Global bus going or coming. Description Cuero y Salado Wildlife Refuge is located near La Ceiba on the coast. The area forms a triangle encompassed by the Cuero and Salado rivers. It is composed of a complex series of salt water and fresh water wetlands. Fifteen river basins originating from the beautiful "Nombre de Dios Mountain." It also protects a great quantity of animal species, among them the manatee. Getting It’s located 33 km. from La Ceiba on the Caribbean Sea, next to the road to Tela. Take the bus to the small village of "La Union"; from there take a twenty-minute trip in a motor cart to the refuge.
